They brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they presented burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God. After David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD. Then he gave a loaf of bread, a cake of dates and a cake of raisins to each Israelite man and woman. He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to make petition, to give thanks, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel: Asaph was the chief, Zechariah second, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel. and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God. That day David first committed to Asaph and his associates this psalm of thanks to the LORD : Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done. Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, O descendants of Israel his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac. He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit." When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it, they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another. 그것은 곧 아브라함과 맺으신 언약이요, 이삭에게 하신 맹세요, 야곱에게 세우신 율례요, 이스라엘에게 지켜주실 영원한 언약이다. 주님께서는 "내가 이 가나안 땅을 너희에게 줄 것이다" 하고 말씀하셨다. 그 때에 너희의 수효가 극히 적었고, 그 땅에서 나그네로 있었으며, 이 민족에게서 저 민족에게로, 이 나라에서 다른 나라 백성에게로 떠돌아다녔다.

He allowed no man to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings: "Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm." Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 그러나 그 때에 주님께서는, 아무도 너희를 억누르지 못하게 하셨고, 너희를 두고 왕들에게 경고하시기를 "내가 기름 부어 세운 사람에게 손을 대지 말며, 나의 예언자들을 해하지 말아라" 하셨다. 온 땅아, 주님께 노래하여라. 그의 구원을 날마다 전하여라. 그의 영광을 만국에 알리고, 그가 일으키신 기적을 만민에게 알려라. 주님은 위대하시니, 그지없이 찬양 받으실 분이시다. 어떤 신들보다 더 두려워해야 할 분이시다.

For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy in his dwelling place. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength, ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name. Bring an offering and come before him; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth! Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns!" Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them! Then the trees of the forest will sing, they will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Cry out, "Save us, O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, that we may glory in your praise." 하늘은 즐거워하고, 땅은 기뻐서 외치며, '주님께서 통치하신다'고 만국에 알릴 것이다. 바다와 거기에 가득 찬 것들도 다 크게 외쳐라. 들과 거기에 있는 모든 것도 다 기뻐하며 뛰어라. 주님께서 땅을 심판하러 오실 것이니, 숲 속의 나무들도 주님 앞에서 즐거이 노래할 것이다. 주님께 감사하여라. 그는 선하시며, 그의 인자하심은 영원하시다. 너희는 부르짖어라. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said "Amen" and "Praise the LORD." David left Asaph and his associates before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister there regularly, according to each day's requirements. He also left Obed-Edom and his sixty-eight associates to minister with them. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were gatekeepers. With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, "for his love endures forever." Heman and Jeduthun were responsible for the sounding of the trumpets and cymbals and for the playing of the other instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.
