These are the kings of the land whom the Israelites had defeated and whose territory they took over east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon, including all the eastern side of the Arabah:
Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon. He ruled from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge--from the middle of the gorge--to the Jabbok River, which is the border of the Ammonites. This included half of Gilead.
He also ruled over the eastern Arabah from the Sea of Kinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea ), to Beth Jeshimoth, and then southward below the slopes of Pisgah.
And the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaites, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei.
He ruled over Mount Hermon, Salecah, all of Bashan to the border of the people of Geshur and Maacah, and half of Gilead to the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

이스라엘 자손이 요단 강 동쪽 해 돋는 쪽 곧 아르논 골짜기에서부터 헤르몬 산까지, 동쪽 온 아라바를 무찌르고 점령하였는데, 그 땅의 왕들은 다음과 같다.
하나는 헤스본에 사는 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼이다. 그는 아르논 골짜기 끝에 있는 아로엘에서 골짜기 중간과 길르앗의 반쪽과 더 나아가서 암몬 자손의 경계인 얍복 강까지를 다스렸다.
그는 또한 아라바 동쪽 방면의 긴네롯 바다까지와 아라바의 바다, 곧 동쪽 방면의 사해, 벳여시못으로 통하는 길까지와 남쪽으로는 비스가 산 기슭까지 다스렸다.
또 하나는 바산 왕인 옥이다. 그는 르바 족 가운데서 살아 남아, 아스다롯과 에드레이에서 살고 있었다.
그는 헤르몬 산과 살르가와 온 바산과 그술 사람과 마아가 사람과 길르앗의 반쪽과, 그리고 더 나아가서 헤스본 왕 시혼이 다스리는 땅의 경계선까지 다스렸다.

Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the Israelites conquered them. And Moses the servant of the LORD gave their land to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh to be their possession.
These are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites conquered on the west side of the Jordan, from Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir (their lands Joshua gave as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel according to their tribal divisions-
the hill country, the western foothills, the Arabah, the mountain slopes, the desert and the Negev--the lands of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites):
the king of Jericho one the king of Ai (near Bethel) one
the king of Jerusalem one the king of Hebron one

이 두 왕은 바로 주님의 종 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 무찌른 사람들이다. 주님의 종 모세가 그 땅을 르우벤 지파와 갓 지파와 므낫세 반쪽 지파에게 주어서 소유로 삼도록 하였다.
여호수아와 이스라엘 자손이 요단 강 동쪽에 있는 서쪽 레바논 골짜기의 바알갓에서부터 세일로 올라가는 곳인 할락 산까지, 그 땅의 왕을 모두 무찔렀다. 여호수아가 이스라엘의 지파들에게 그 지파의 구분을 따라 그 땅을 나누어 주어서 가지게 하였다.
그 땅은 산간지방과 평지와 아라바와 경사지와 광야로서, 헷 사람과 아모리 사람과 가나안 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과 여부스 사람이 사는 남쪽에 있다.
그들이 무찌른 왕들은 다음과 같다. 여리고 왕이 하나, 베델 근처의 아이 왕이 하나,
예루살렘 왕이 하나, 헤브론 왕이 하나,
