사사기 5장

The mountains quaked before the LORD, the one of Sinai, before the LORD, the God of Israel. 그 날 드보라와 아비노암의 아들 바락이 이런 노래를 불렀다. 이스라엘의 영도자들은 앞장서서 이끌고, 백성은 기꺼이 헌신하니, 주님을 찬양하여라. 너희 왕들아, 들어라. 너희 통치자들아, 귀를 기울여라. 나 곧 내가 주님을 노래하련다. 주 이스라엘의 하나님을 찬양하련다. 주님, 주님께서 세일에서 나오실 때에, 주님께서 에돔 땅에서 출동하실 때에, 땅은 흔들리고, 하늘은 물을 쏟아내고, 구름은 비를 쏟았습니다. 산들이 주님 앞에서 진동하였고, 저 시내 산마저, 주 이스라엘의 하나님 앞에서 진동하였습니다.

In the districts of Reuben there was much searching of heart. 물 긷는 이들 사이에서 들리는 소리, 활 쏘는 사람들의 요란한 저 소리, 거기서도 주님의 의로운 업적을 들어 말하여라. 이스라엘 용사들의 의로운 업적을 들어 말하여라. 그 때에 주님의 백성이 성읍으로 들어가려고 성문께로 내려갔다. 일어나라, 일어나라, 드보라야. 일어나라, 일어나서 노래를 불러라. 일어나라, 바락아. 포로들을 끌고 가거라, 아비노암의 아들아. 그 때에 살아 남은 이들이 백성의 지도자들과 더불어 내려왔고, 주님께서 나를 도우시려고 용사들 가운데 내려오셨다. 에브라임에게서는 아말렉에 뿌리를 내린 사람들이 내려오고, 베냐민의 뒤를 이어서는 너의 백성이 내려오고, 마길에서는 지휘관들이 내려오고 스불론에서는 지휘봉 잡은 이들이 내려왔다. 잇사갈의 지도자들이 드보라와 합세하고, 잇사갈과 바락도 이에 합세하여, 그의 뒤를 따라 골짜기로 달려갔다. 그러나 르우벤 지파 가운데서는 마음에 큰 반성이 있었다.

From the heavens the stars fought, from their courses they fought against Sisera. 어찌하여 네가 양의 우리에 앉아, 양 떼를 부르는 피리 소리나 듣고 있는가? 르우벤 지파에서는 마음에 큰 반성을 하였다. 어찌하여 길르앗은 요단 강 건너에 자리잡고 있고, 어찌하여 단은 배 안에 머물러 있는가? 어찌하여 아셀은 바닷가에 앉아 있는가? 또 그 부둣가에서 편히 쉬고 있는가? 스불론은 죽음을 무릅쓰고 생명을 아끼지 않고 싸운 백성이요, 납달리도 들판 언덕 위에서 그렇게 싸운 백성이다. 여러 왕들이 와서 싸움을 돋우었다. 가나안 왕들이 므깃도의 물 가 다아낙에서 싸움을 돋우었으나, 그들은 탈취물이나 은을 가져 가지 못하였다. 별들이 하늘에서 시스라와 싸웠고, 그 다니는 길에서 그와 싸웠다.

Why is the clatter of his chariots delayed?' The wisest of her ladies answer her; indeed, she keeps saying to herself, 'Are they not finding and dividing the spoils: a girl or two for each man, colorful garments as plunder for Sisera, colorful garments embroidered, highly embroidered garments for my neck-- all this as plunder?' 왼손에는 장막 말뚝을 쥐고, 오른손에는 대장장이의 망치를 쥐고, 시스라를 쳐서 머리를 깨부수고, 관자놀이를 꿰뚫어 버렸다. 시스라는 그의 발 앞에 고꾸라져서 쓰러진 채 누웠다. 그의 발 앞에 고꾸라지며 쓰러졌다. 고꾸라진 바로 그 자리에서 쓰러져서 죽고 말았다. 시스라의 어머니가 창문으로 내다보며, 창살 틈으로 내다보며 울부짖었다. "그의 병거가 왜 이렇게 더디 오는가? 그의 병거가 왜 이처럼 늦게 오는가?" 그의 시녀들 가운데서 가장 지혜로운 시녀들이 대답하였겠고, 시스라의 어머니도 그 말을 따라 이렇게 혼잣말로 말하였을 것이다. "그들이 어찌 약탈물을 얻지 못하였으랴? 그것을 나누지 못하였으랴? 용사마다 한두 처녀를 차지하였을 것이다. 시스라가 약탈한 것은 채색한 옷감, 곧 수놓아 채색한 옷감이거나, 약탈한 사람의 목에 걸칠 수놓은 두 벌의 옷감일 것이다."

"So may all your enemies perish, O LORD! But may they who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength." Then the land had peace forty years. 주님, 주님의 원수들은 이처럼 모두 망하고, 주님을 사랑하는 사람들은 힘차게 떠오르는 해처럼 되게 하여 주십시오. 그 뒤로 그 땅에는 사십 년 동안 전쟁이 없이 평온하였다.
