레위기 5장

" 'If a person sins because he does not speak up when he hears a public charge to testify regarding something he has seen or learned about, he will be held responsible. " 'Or if a person touches anything ceremonially unclean--whether the carcasses of unclean wild animals or of unclean livestock or of unclean creatures that move along the ground--even though he is unaware of it, he has become unclean and is guilty. " 'Or if he touches human uncleanness--anything that would make him unclean--even though he is unaware of it, when he learns of it he will be guilty. " 'Or if a person thoughtlessly takes an oath to do anything, whether good or evil--in any matter one might carelessly swear about--even though he is unaware of it, in any case when he learns of it he will be guilty. " 'When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned 누구든지 증인 선서를 하고 증인이 되어서, 자기가 본 것이나 알고 있는 것을 사실대로 증언하지 않으면 죄가 되고, 그는 거기에 대하여 책임을 져야 한다. 누구든지 부정한 모든 것, 곧 부정한 들짐승의 주검이나, 부정한 집짐승의 주검이나, 부정한 길짐승의 주검에 몸이 닿았을 경우에는 모르고 닿았다고 하더라도, 그는 부정을 탄 사람이므로, 깨닫는 대로 그 죄를 속하여야 한다. 그가 사람 몸에 있는 어떤 부정한 것, 곧 그것이 무엇이든지, 그를 부정하게 할 수 있는 것에 몸이 닿을 경우에, 그런 줄을 모르고 닿았다고 하더라도 그는 부정을 탄 사람이므로, 깨닫는 대로 그 죄를 속하여야 한다. 또 누구든지 생각없이 입을 놀려, 악한 일을 하겠다거나, 착한 일을 하겠다고 맹세할 때에, 비록 그것이 생각없이 한 맹세일지라도, 그렇게 말한 사실을 잊고 있다가, 뒤늦게 알고서 자기의 죄를 깨달으면, 그 죄를 속하여야 한다. 사람이 위에서 말한 것들 가운데서 어느 하나에라도 잘못이 있으면, 그는 자기가 어떻게 죄를 지었는지를 고백하여야 하고,

and, as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the LORD a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin. " 'If he cannot afford a lamb, he is to bring two doves or two young pigeons to the LORD as a penalty for his sin--one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. He is to bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one for the sin offering. He is to wring its head from its neck, not severing it completely, and is to sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering against the side of the altar; the rest of the blood must be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering. The priest shall then offer the other as a burnt offering in the prescribed way and make atonement for him for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven. 자기가 저지른 죄에 대한 보상으로, 주에게 속건제물을 바쳐야 한다. 그는 양 떼 가운데서 암컷 한 마리나, 염소 떼 가운데서, 암컷 한 마리를 골라서, 속죄제물로 바쳐야 한다. 제사장이 속죄제물을 바쳐서 그의 죄를 속하여 주면, 그는 용서받는다. 그러나 그가 양 한 마리도 바칠 형편이 못될 때에는, 자기가 저지른 죄에 대한 보상으로, 산비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 새끼 두 마리를 나 주에게 바치는 제물로 가져다가, 하나는 속죄제물로 바치고 다른 하나는 번제물로 바쳐야 한다. 그가 그것을 제사장에게로 가져 가면, 제사장은 먼저 속죄제물로 가져 온 것을 받아서 속죄제물로 바친다. 그 때에 제사장은 그 제물의 목을 비틀어야 하는데, 목이 몸에서 떨어지지 않도록 하여야 한다. 제사장은 그 속죄제물에서 나온 피를 받아다가 얼마는 제단 둘레에 뿌리고, 나머지 피는 제단 밑바닥에 쏟는다. 이것이 속죄제사이다. 번제물로 가져 온 제물은 규례를 따라, 제사장이 번제물로 바쳐야 한다. 이렇게 하여 제사장이 그의 죄를 속하여 주면, 그는 용서받는다.

" 'If, however, he cannot afford two doves or two young pigeons, he is to bring as an offering for his sin a tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a sin offering. He must not put oil or incense on it, because it is a sin offering. He is to bring it to the priest, who shall take a handful of it as a memorial portion and burn it on the altar on top of the offerings made to the LORD by fire. It is a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for him for any of these sins he has committed, and he will be forgiven. The rest of the offering will belong to the priest, as in the case of the grain offering.' " The LORD said to Moses: "When a person commits a violation and sins unintentionally in regard to any of the LORD's holy things, he is to bring to the LORD as a penalty a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value in silver, according to the sanctuary shekel. It is a guilt offering. 그러나 그가 산비둘기 두 마리나 집비둘기 새끼 두 마리조차 바칠 형편이 못될 때에는, 자기가 저지른 죄에 대한 보상으로서, 주에게 바치는 속죄제물로 고운 밀가루 십분의 일 에바를 가져 와서, 제물로 바쳐야 한다. 이것은 속죄제물인 만큼, 밀가루에 기름을 섞거나 향을 얹어서는 안 된다. 그가 이렇게 준비해서, 제사장에게 가져 가면, 제사장은 그 제물에서 한 줌을 덜어 내어, 제물로 모두 바치는 정성의 표시로 제단 위, 주에게 살라 바치는 제물 위에 얹어 불살라야 한다. 이것이 속죄제사이다. 해서는 안 되는 것 가운데서 어느 하나라도 어겨 잘못을 저질렀을 때에, 이렇게 하여 제사장이 그의 죄를 속하여 주면, 그는 용서를 받는다. 나머지 제물은 곡식제물에서처럼 제사장의 몫이 된다." 주님께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "누구든지 주에게 거룩한 제물을 바치는데, 어느 하나라도 성실하지 못하여, 실수로 죄를 저지르면, 그는, 주에게 바칠 속건제물로, 가축 떼에서 흠 없는 숫양 한 마리를 가져 와야 한다. 성소의 세겔 표준을 따르면, 속건제물의 값이 은 몇 세겔이 되는지는, 네가 정하여 주어라.

He must make restitution for what he has failed to do in regard to the holy things, add a fifth of the value to that and give it all to the priest, who will make atonement for him with the ram as a guilt offering, and he will be forgiven. "If a person sins and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD's commands, even though he does not know it, he is guilty and will be held responsible. He is to bring to the priest as a guilt offering a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value. In this way the priest will make atonement for him for the wrong he has committed unintentionally, and he will be forgiven. It is a guilt offering; he has been guilty of wrongdoing against the LORD." 그는 거룩한 제물을 소홀히 다루었으므로, 그것을 보상하여야 한다. 그러려면, 그는 자기가 바쳐야 할 것에 오분의 일을 보태어, 그것을 제사장에게로 가져 가야 한다. 제사장이 속건제물인 숫양에 해당하는 벌금을 받고서, 그의 죄를 속하여 주면, 그는 용서를 받는다. 나 주가 하지 말라고 명한 것 가운데서 어떤 것을 하여 잘못을 저질렀으면, 비록 그가 그것이 금지된 것인 줄을 몰랐다고 하더라도, 그에게는 허물이 있다. 그는 자기가 저지른 악행의 결과에 책임을 져야 한다. 그는 가축 떼에서 흠 없는 숫양 한 마리를 제사장에게 가져 가야 한다. 속건제물로 바치는 값은 네가 정하여 주어라. 그리하여 그가 알지 못하고 실수로 저지른 잘못은, 제사장이 그의 죄를 속하여 주면, 그는 용서를 받는다. 이것이 속건제사이다. 그는 주를 거역하였으니, 이 일에 책임을 져야 한다."
