요한계시록 11장

I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 나는 지팡이와 같은 측량자 하나를 받았는데, 그 때에 이런 말씀이 내게 들려 왔습니다. These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want. Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them. Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. For three and a half days men from every people, tribe, language and nation will gaze on their bodies and refuse them burial. But after the three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, "Come up here." And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on. At that very hour there was a severe earthquake and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon. The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever." 그러나 사흘 반이 지난 뒤에, 하나님에게서 생명의 기운이 나와서 그들 속으로 들어가니, 그들이 제 발로 일어섰습니다. 그것을 목격한 사람들은 큰 두려움에 사로잡혔습니다. 그 두 예언자가, 하늘로부터 자기들에게로 "이리로 올라오너라" 하는 큰 소리가 울려오는 것을 듣고, 구름을 타고 하늘로 올라가니, 그들의 원수들이 그것을 지켜 보았습니다. 바로 그 때에 큰 지진이 일어나서, 그 도시의 십분의 일이 무너졌는데, 그 지진으로 사람이 칠천 명이나 죽었습니다. 그리고 살아 남은 사람은 두려움에 싸여서, 하늘에 계신 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다. 둘째 재난은 지나갔습니다. 그러나 이제 셋째 재난이 곧 닥칠 것입니다. 일곱째 천사가 나팔을 불었습니다. 그 때에 하늘에서 큰 소리가 났습니다. "세상 나라는 우리 주님의 것이 되고, 그리스도의 것이 되었다. 주님께서 영원히 다스리실 것이다."

And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: "We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the one who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth." Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm. 그리고 하나님 앞에서 자기 보좌에 앉아 있는 스물네 장로도 엎드려서, 하나님께 경배하고, 말하였습니다. "지금도 계시고 전에도 계시던 전능하신 분, 주 하나님, 감사합니다. 주님께서는 그 크신 권능을 잡으셔서 다스리기 시작하셨습니다. 뭇 민족이 이것에 분개하였으나 오히려 그들이 주님의 진노를 샀습니다. 이제는 죽은 사람들이 심판을 받을 때가 왔습니다. 주님의 종 예언자들과 성도들과 작은 사람이든 큰 사람이든 주님 이름을 두려워하는 사람들에게 상을 주실 때가 왔습니다. 땅을 망하게 하는 자들을 멸망시킬 때가 왔습니다." 그러자 하늘에 있는 하나님의 성전이 열리고, 성전 안에 있는 하나님의 언약궤가 보였습니다. 그 때에 번개가 치고, 요란한 소리와 천둥소리가 나고, 지진이 일어나고, 큰 우박이 쏟아졌습니다.
